In order to get the most out of this wonderfully relaxing massage, there are certain things you may want to try. Here you'll find some alternative suggestions and tips for customizing the massage to your particular needs and desires.
  • Use sunglasses that are tinted dark. This is a much more soothing environment for your eyes and enhances the relaxation response.
  • Apply a very thin film of oil. You will be able to get a gliding stroke in your massage and make it a little more soothing.
  • The ideal water temperature should be between 92° F to 96° F.
  • Soft foam earplugs might be a good option if you dislike the water swirling in and out of your ears.
  • If you are overweight and don't feel as if one floater at the neck is doing the job, just use another one and place it towards the middle of your back.
  • You might also be in the mood to be swirled around and leave out the massage part.
  • Sometimes you may not wish to be swirled around and want the massage, while remaining stationary in the water or maybe only a slight movement. It's really up to you and your partner.
  • Don't forget your sunscreen.
*The most important thing about any massage is trust and open communication. Feel free to express yourself. Tell your partner exactly what you want and what you need. If you know that you can interupt the massage at anytime for any reason, you will be much more at ease.

So go ahead and "Float Your Stress Away in a Sea of Tranquility".
